Reviews
Reviews of books, restaurants, and organic gourmet food products are one of the ways you can find out about something you heard about before you try it or know if you want to buy it.
That’s why we track down all the information we can about organic gourmet foods and food products, so that you will have everything you need to make wise choices and decisions about what you want to eat and where to go to find it.
We offer:
❏ Book reviews of organic gourmet cookbooks, organic gardening, and books about eating well
❏ Restaurant reviews of organic gourmet restaurants -- it’s always nice to know what other people think about a place, before you book your reservation
❏ Organic gourmet product reviews -- we will invite as many companies as are willing, to provide us with product samples, so that we can give you a practical commentary and objective review of what we like (and don’t like) about a product
❏ Organic farms -- what they are like, and what visitors like (and don’t like) about them
❏ Farmers markets -- what you can find there, how to find bargains, what to look for, and how to buy organically and locally
❏ Commercial markets -- how to find your organic gourmet foods when you don’t have an organic market near you
While we love to travel and dine out, it is simply not possible to visit everywhere and try every product on the market.
Therefore, we invite you -- our honored guests -- to help us by sending reviews of anything and everything organic and gourmet, from soup to nuts and all the tools it takes to make them. We want to hear what you like (and don’t like)!
We reserve the right to edit all content, and publication of any review is at our sole discretion. (Keep it clean, please, and -- ahem -- tasteful.) Controversy is fine as long as you do not engage in character assassination -- we support honest opinions, not mud-slinging :-)
The golden rule applies here -- tell it the way you’d like to hear it if it was about YOU! If you are going to be critical (that is OK) -- please be constructive about it. (Example: “I would prefer sauces that are less salty and with a lighter hand on the seasoning.” vs “They put too much salt and seasoning on it.”)
We will accept links to articles and publications, with permission from the owner(s) of the publications and web sites involved, so long as it meets our criteria:
* It must be about organic gourmet foods, restaurants, products, or green living
* It must be “clean” and positive in tone.
* It must be truthful! If it’s your opinion, please say that. If you had a bad experience somewhere, the first place you should report it is to the owner of the establishment, not here on our web site. Give them a chance to make it right for you first, before you tell the world about it, OK?
We reserve the right to edit all content and the right to refuse anything that’s mean-spirited -- we’re not the “organic gourmet police” -- just a web site that wants to offer good information and resources to people who love eating well. Please keep that in mind!
We truly welcome your enthusiastic endorsement of great places to eat and dine, and great tools and products. Please send them in!
And have a look around here on our site -- you might find something new and exciting!
